Bedtime

It's 7:30, Time for jammies! Oh wait, uh... half of my kids are in their jammies. Because they are very obedient and got jammied themselves? Oh no. Because I didn't want to fight the battle, and 2 of 4 have been wearing their jammies all day. Exploring the backyard in feetie jammies and snow boots when it is definitely warm enough to put the snow boots away. Another battle I haven't fought.

Please tell me I'm not the only one.

  1. There are at least two of us... we only got out of jammies today because there was a dr's appointment this morning. Most of the time it doesn't matter what I dress my girls in anyways, by halfway through the day the oldest is wearing some sort of costume, usually princess-related, and my 2nd is usually pantsless (a new obsession), and bringing me various shirts/dresses/costumes to change her into. I do try to keep it within reason, but if they're entertaining themselves (and not creating too much extra laundry for me)... why fight them? It's not worth it to me.
Oh, and my oldest wore purple rain boots for months straight, from the time we bought them until she outgrew them. And now my 2nd is starting to wear them. Once again, I say if they can put them on themselves, and they like them, why fight?

  2. That's cute. It made me laugh. I have many, many days when I don't get dressed (change out of what I wore to bed the night before) and more days than I should admit that I don't even put a bra on. Yep, they're gonna be saggy for sure.

  3. Don't feel bad at all. I think we only get dressed at 50% of the time. Part of the reason that we do get dressed is someone's diaper leaked or we would just stay in jammies all the time.

  5. I only get dressed because I have to go to class. Some days, Will and James want to stay in their jammie shirts - I have absolutely no problem with that.
Who cares. You're happy. Less laundry. Kids are happy. Not a big deal at all.
